Wayne Witkowski, Neighbor

Wayne Witkowski has worked as a sportswriter for most of his 36-year career in journalism. He is currently the business and community sections editor for the Pocono Record and also edits the Eastern Poconos Community News. He has also worked as a freelance sportswriter for Greater Media Newspapers.

Wayne began his journalism career at the Jersey Journal, where he worked until 2000. He went on to work at the Star-Ledger and the Asbury Park Press before spending three years at the Daily Record.

Wayne is a graduate of Long Island University and a member of the Kappa Tau Alpha journalism organization and the National Journalism Honor Society. He has won a number of awards from the New Jersey Press Association and the North Jersey Press Association. He was inducted into the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame in 1995 in the writing category. He is an active voting member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
