Hundreds of thousands flock to New York to fete Super Bowl winners
Check out the gallery above to see photos from Tuesday's Ticker Tape parade in New York City, celebrating the Giants' victory in Super Bowl XLVI. Hundreds of thousands of fans flocked to the Canyon of Heroes in downtown Manhattan to ring in New York's latest championship. Paper flew from buildings, fans tossed toilet paper rolls back and forth over Broadway Avenue, and the Giants rolled by with smiles as they ended at City Hall to accept keys to the city from Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
The Giants held a parade in Manhattan and a celebration at MetLife Stadium on Tuesday. Did you go?
Two Tuesday celebrations - one in New Jersey and one in New York City - commemorated the Giants win over the Patriots in the Super Bowl on Tuesday. We want to know who went, and we'd like to hear about your experiences, whether you went to the city or up to the Meadowlands. The celebration began with a parade in New York that, according to WPIX, started at 11 a.m. at Battery Place and Washington Street and went through the Canyon of Heroes to Worth Street. A ceremony was then held at City Hall, where the members of Big Blue will receive keys to the city. Gov. Chris Christie announced on Monday that a separate rally would be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. for the Giants at their home stadium. If you went, we'd love to hear your stories and see …

Modell's Toms River store extends hours for Super Bowl celebrants
"Hey, Mom, what size do you want?" The young man clad in a Giants jersey beckoned his parents to the table covered with T-shirts bearing various designs proclaiming "Super Bowl Champions." Nearby, patrons stood in line, arms full of shirts and pennants, gadgets and goodies, chatting happily about their shared reason for celebrating: the New York Giants' 21-17 victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI earlier in the evening. While many of their fellow Giants fans were celebrating at various bars and restaurants or at their homes, these Giants faithful were standing in line at the Modell's in the Toms River Shopping Plaza, arms loaded with all the items they needed to declare their love for their Super Bowl champions. Modell's…
No longer feeling like a fool
The first football player I ever liked was a quarterback who got sacked all the time. Every year, his New York Giant teams lost more than they won. Every game, he got battered, booed-at and berated, tossed-around, tackled and "turfed." Every snap, he was there, ready to give it another try, preparing himself for another heap of abuse. His name was Phil Simms, and guys with 300-pound Herculean bodies mauled his protectors and threw themselves on his blindslide. The QB would lift himself from the rock-hard artificial turf, his shoulder pad popped out of his sleeve, and his helmet slightly askew. After each brutal pounding, all he'd do is tuck that pad back in, just behind the number 11 that was sewed to his sleeve, and get ready to call …
A handful of ads got a lot of attention
Well before Super Bowl XLVI's kickoff Sunday evening, fans speculated about what might be the best big game commercials. One ad that got a lot of buzz was entitled "Bueller, Bueller," having Matthew Broderick reprising his role as Ferris Bueller for Honda. Get a 10-second peek by going here. Another ad getting a lot of attention has been dubbed "The Dark Side" and features a whole bunch of pretty cute dogs barking out a pitch for Volkswagen. In addition, Elton John also will appear in a much-anticipated Pepsi ad during the Super Bowl alongside “X Factor” winner Melanie Amaro. Meanwhile, Coke plans to roll out something completely different this year. By going here, you can watch the animated polar bears react to the Super Bowl itself, the …

Giants and Patriots will face off tonight in an epic rematch
If you hadn't heard already, there is a pretty big football game on tonight that has the chance to make local fans either very happy or destined to take a sick day on Monday. The New York Giants will face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI on NBC tonight and millions of people from across the world will be watching. Whether you watch for the game or the commercials, the Super Bowl is a holiday for most people and is treated as such in several households. The beer and soda has to be cold, the guacamole has to be fresh and the buffalo wings have to be extra spicy as ravenous football fans prepare for the game day feast. However, the Super Bowl is ultimately about the culmination of a hard and long NFL season where the two …

In fact, noted patriot (get it?!) Paul Revere is rumored to have stopped for a shot of “fortitude” in Medford during his famed midnight ride. Medford no longer produces this libation, so any full-bodied, dark rum will suffice. Ingredients: Directions: (as suggested by my friend Daisy) Ingredients: Directions:
