The man grabbed the 11-year-old on Cable Avenue and put him in the back seat of a black Audi, but the child broke free and called 911. He drove away, but it is unclear where he headed. People are told to call 911 if they see a man who fits this description, but not to approach him Police later released a composite sketch of the man. Daniel O’Leary, 51, was charged with second degree aggravated arson in connection with the Friday fire
A 51-year-old Berkeley Township man was charged with aggravated arson Monday in connection with a fire at a Holiday City residence, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office. Daniel O’Leary, 51, of 66 Barbuda Street in the Holiday City section of Berkeley Township, was arrested and charged with second degree aggravated arson in connection with the Friday fire. O’Leary is charged with intentionally setting fire to the home at 77 Barbuda Street on Friday, according to the prosecutor's office. "He lived a few houses away," Executive Assistant Prosecutor Michel A. Paulhus said. Investigators charge that O'Leary knew that two people were inside the residence at the time. Pine Beach man's body found off a walking trail in park on Pinewald-Keswick Road
The Ocean County Medical Examiner has determined that a Pine Beach man whose body was discovered in Double Trouble State Park Monday committed suicide, Ocean County Executive Assistant Prosecutor Michel A. Paulhus said. State Park Police found the body of Daniel L. Rinaldi, Jr. 66, off a walking trail shortly after midnight on Monday. He had been reported missing on Saturday, Paulhus said. Paulhus declined to release the manner of death, other than to say it was a suicide. "Beyond that, I'm not going to say anything," he said. The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office is withholding the name of the adult male found dead in Double Trouble State Park until an autopsy is conducted on Wednesday, Executive Assistant Prosecutor Michel A. Paulhus said. "I haven't been told his family has been notified," Paulhus said this afternoon. Someone filed a missing persons report when the man - in his sixties - failed to return. There were no apparent indications of foul play in the discovery of a body of a man in his sixties in Double Trouble State Park, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office says. "The cause of death is pending an autopsy," said Executive Assistant Prosecutor Michel A. Paulhus. "It doesn't appear to be anything criminal." Authorities from the Prosecutor's Office and the Ocean County Medical Examiner's Office were at the park off Pinewald-Keswick Road after midnight last night. Information on the area of the 8,495 acre park the body was found in and the time the man was discovered are not yet available, Paulhus said. Early morning blaze results in death of Lakewood resident
According to the Ocean County’s Prosecutor’s Office, a fire which occurred early this morning has claimed the life of a male Lakewood resident. Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford issued a statement concerning the fire. “At approximately 12:45 a.m. this morning, Lakewood Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to a residence on Lanes Mill Road in Lakewood. Upon arrival, emergency personnel observed a residential structure on fire with numerous residents outside,” said Ford.
