Ocean County Medical Examiner Rules Double Trouble State Park Death A Suicide

Pine Beach man's body found off a walking trail in park on Pinewald-Keswick Road

The Ocean County Medical Examiner has determined that a Pine Beach man whose body was discovered in Double Trouble State Park Monday committed suicide, Ocean County Executive Assistant Prosecutor Michel A. Paulhus said. State Park Police found the body of Daniel L. Rinaldi, Jr. 66, off a walking trail shortly after midnight on Monday. He had been reported missing on Saturday, Paulhus said. Paulhus declined to release the manner of death, other than to say it was a suicide. "Beyond that, I'm not going to say anything," he said. Park Police found a solitary car in the parking lot on Monday, after the park closed. They ran a motor vehicle check and were able to determine that the owner's name was the same as the person reported missing, …
