Atlantic City Man Arrested In Connection With Death Of Stafford Man

Authorities recover 50 bags of heroin from Rasan McGee, aka 'Money'

Law enforcement authorities today arrested an Atlantic City man who may have sold heroin to a Stafford Township man found dead in his car on Friday. Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato announced the arrest of Rasan S. McGee, 22. He was charged with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and resisting arrest, authorities said. His bail was set at $25,000, with no ten percent option. The charges stem from an investigation that began at 2:15 p.m. on Friday, when Barnegat police discovered Steven Janson, 26, Stafford Township, dead in his red Hyundai Genesis parked across the street from 26 Starboard Avenue. Men from Barnegat, Wall Facing Multiple Drug Charges

Police say men threw marijuana out of the window of Lexus before traffic stop

  Two men have been arrested in the wake of a probe into drug activity in the Pheasant Drive area of Bayville. Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office and the Berkeley Township Police Department conducted the investigation on Aug. 22, Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford said. The officers attempted a motor vehicle stop near Scott Drive during the investigation. The occupants of the 1992 gray Lexus threw a "quantity of marijuana" out of the car windows, Capt. Jack Sramaty said. When authorities eventually stopped the car on Scott Drive, they recovered some of the marijuana, a stun gun and a small amount of cash, Sramaty said. Girlfriend Of 86-year-old Holiday City Man Charged With Distributing Drugs From His Home

Woman is barred from entering Pine Valley Drive home; county Adult Protective Services notified, police said

  The 52-year-old girlfriend of an elderly Holiday City man has been charged with running a drug operation out of his home, police said. The man's daughter, who lives in Toms River, called police at March 8 after she found her 86-year-father lying naked and unresponsive on the bathroom floor of his home at 24 Pine Valley Drive. Joy Lehnert, who had a "dating" relationship with the man for nine years - was not at home when the daughter arrived and found her father, who had recently been diagnosed with cancer, having difficulty breathing, according to the police report. Berkeley Township Police Assist in South Toms River Drug Arrests

Two men failed to pull over for motor vehicle stop; drugs found in car and home

  Two South Toms River men are facing a number of drug-related charges after they failed to stop for police, then struck a utility pole. South Toms River police attempted to pull over a 1996 Chevrolet Lumina at 9:34 a.m. on Dec. 10. The driver did not stop, eluded police, then struck a utility pole on Flint Road, said Capt. Jack Sramaty of the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office. The driver of the vehicle, Jonathan Lopez, 20, South Toms River, fled on foot. South Toms River police apprehended Lopez, who had a handgun,after a brief pursuit, Sramaty said.
