Ocean County Medical Examiner Rules Double Trouble State Park Death A Suicide

Pine Beach man's body found off a walking trail in park on Pinewald-Keswick Road

The Ocean County Medical Examiner has determined that a Pine Beach man whose body was discovered in Double Trouble State Park Monday committed suicide, Ocean County Executive Assistant Prosecutor Michel A. Paulhus said. State Park Police found the body of Daniel L. Rinaldi, Jr. 66, off a walking trail shortly after midnight on Monday. He had been reported missing on Saturday, Paulhus said. Paulhus declined to release the manner of death, other than to say it was a suicide. "Beyond that, I'm not going to say anything," he said. Park Police found a solitary car in the parking lot on Monday, after the park closed. They ran a motor vehicle check and were able to determine that the owner's name was the same as the person reported missing, …

Identity Of Body Found In Double Trouble State Park Being Withheld Until After Autopsy

Body discovered shortly after midnight

  The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office is withholding the name of the adult male found dead in Double Trouble State Park until an autopsy is conducted on Wednesday, Executive Assistant Prosecutor Michel A. Paulhus said. "I haven't been told his family has been notified," Paulhus said this afternoon. Someone filed a missing persons report when the man - in his sixties - failed to return. Double Trouble State Park Police found a solitary car in the parking lot on Monday, after the park closed. They ran a motor vehicle check and were able to determine that the owner's name was the same as the person reported missing, Paulhus said. UPDATE: Foul Play Not Suspected In Discovery Of Man's Body In Double Trouble State Park

Identification pending notice of next of kin, Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Says

There were no apparent indications of foul play in the discovery of a body of a man in his sixties in Double Trouble State Park, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office says. "The cause of death is pending an autopsy," said Executive Assistant Prosecutor Michel A. Paulhus. "It doesn't appear to be anything criminal." Authorities from the Prosecutor's Office and the Ocean County Medical Examiner's Office were at the park off Pinewald-Keswick Road after midnight last night. Information on the area of the 8,495 acre park the body was found in and the time the man was discovered are not yet available, Paulhus said. Body Recovered In Seaside Park Near O Street Where Swimmer Disappeared Wednesday

Autopsy next step to identify victim, prosecutor's office says

A body was discovered near the O Street beach in Seaside Park this afternoon, close to where an 18-year-old man disappeared in the surf Wednesday afternoon, Executive Assistant Prosecutor Michel Paulhus said. "They did recover a body," he said. "They are going to schedule an autopsy to make a positive identification. It was found in the general area where the swimmer was reported missing." The body was discovered by the New Jersey State Police's Special Operations Section  about 150 yards southeast of the O Street beach, Patrolman Steven Shadiack said. Medical examiner says toddler died of "homicidal violence''

The father of a 2-year-old girl found partially submerged in a stream of Shark River Park on Tuesday is wanted for the murder of the Lakehurst girl, authorities said Wednesday. Monmouth County Prosecutor Peter E. Warshaw said in a 4 p.m. conference that an arrest warrant has been issued for Tierra Morgan-Glover's father, 27-year-old Arthur Morgan III, charging him with the murder of the toddler whose body was found Tuesday afternoon. Morgan was originally charged with the second degree offense of endangering the welfare of a child and interference with custody, Warshaw said.
