A Toms River man has been charged with having multiple unsecured weapons accessible to his 4-year-old son when he fatally shot 6-year-old Brandon Holt, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor James P. McClain announced Monday night, May 13. Anthony Senatore, 33, was arrested around 6:30 Monday night by detectives from the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, McClain said. Senatore was arrested at a residence in Bayville, according to McClain. OK, so maybe it's not trending right now, but chances are, it soon will be. The New Jersey State Police ranked second among state police agencies nationally in terms of Twitter followers, according to statistics recently released by the IACP Center for Social Media. The agency has 23,618 followers, trailing only the Massachusetts State Police, which had a whopping 62,493 followers, as of April 30. The Texas Department of Public Safety (18,787), the Ohio State Highway Patrol (13,587) and the Indiana State Police (13,466) round out the top five. Lacey school board members will have more to say about the indictment of schools Superintendent Sandra Brower at a special meeting on Friday night,  Board President Eric J. Schubiger said this afternoon. The meeting will get underway at 8 p.m. in the lecture hall at Lacey Township High School, he said. "It will be open to the public," Schubiger said. Several board members earlier this week declined to comment on the matter and referred all press inquiries to Schubiger. They have a quota, more foreigner get in from different parts of the country and maybe a few Americans a year. NJ 101.5 reported that Brittney Snodgrass was found

Brittney Snodgrass has been found safe, according to NJ 101.5. Snodgrass was last seen getting off her school bus on Ash Street at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst at about 3 p.m. Wednesday, according to NJ 101.5. When she did not arrive home, a search began via social media, the base wide “big voice” giant intercom and  on the ground, according to the station. More can be found here.

Coast Guard Rescues Ailing Woman from Cruise Off Toms River Shore

66-year-old woman is reported to be in stable condition

A woman suffering from heart failure aboard a cruise ship was rescued early Thursday by U.S. Coast Guard officials while the vessel was 20 miles off Toms River's shore.  Personnel aboard the Splendor, a 952-foot Carnival cruise ship, contacted Coast Guard watchstanders in New York at about 12:40 a.m. Thursday and reported a 66-year-old woman aboard was experiencing heart failure, according to a news release. A rescue crew aboard an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter from the Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City was dispatched to the cruise ship to rescue the woman, who was not immediately identified by authorities.  The Coast Guard helicopter crew was able to hoist the woman and a nurse aboard and transport them to Jersey Shore University Medical …

The investigation into the shooting death of a 6-year-old Toms River boy by a four-year-old neighbor is ongoing, and no charges have been filed at this time, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. Brandon Holt was shot and killed by his four-year-old neighbor while the two were playing on Monday, April 8. The case was transferred from Ocean County to Atlantic County shortly thereafter to avoid any potential conflicts among law enforcement who may have ties to the case.
