Meeting will be open to the public
Lacey school board members will have more to say about the indictment of schools Superintendent Sandra Brower at a special meeting on Friday night, Board President Eric J. Schubiger said this afternoon. The meeting will get underway at 8 p.m. in the lecture hall at Lacey Township High School, he said. "It will be open to the public," Schubiger said. Several board members earlier this week declined to comment on the matter and referred all press inquiries to Schubiger. "We want time to review the indictment and have a chance to meet as a board," Schubiger said yesterday. "I'm sure we will have many comments after that." Brower, 46, of Wall Township, was indicted by a Monmouth County grand jury on Monday. She is charged with second-degree …

No charges have been filed at this time.
The investigation into the shooting death of a 6-year-old Toms River boy by a four-year-old neighbor is ongoing, and no charges have been filed at this time, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. The case was transferred from Ocean County to Atlantic County shortly thereafter to avoid any potential conflicts among law enforcement who may have ties to the case. The longstanding policy of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office has been not to comment on ongoing investigations, although the Prosecutor's Office has said it may take several weeks before charges are filed in this case, and it is expected to make a public…
Former Wall schools administrator and Lacey superintendent accused of official misconduct, lying to police
The attorney for Lacey Superintendent Sandra Brower, a former Wall district administrator, said the charges Tuesday that she tried to hide a possible sex-abuse case are “false and ridiculous.’’ Edward C. She pleaded not guilty in Superior Court Monday afternoon. She is due in Superior Court Judge Francis J. Vernoia’s courtroom on June 10 for a status hearing…
