From the article: One person currently stuck in the broken system is Aakash Dalal, a former RutgersRead More student who is being held in Bergen County Jail on $4 million bail for his role in firebombing a synagogue 2 years ago. He's being accused of bombing ONE synagogue not 4 as some commenters are saying. Bombing one synagogue is a horrible crime and act of terrorism but let's at least get our facts right.

Eric Rudolph was a racist, anti-semetic, militant, twisted religious zealout, murdering psycopath,Read More not a "right wing fanatic." He was absent political bent.

Speedy trial? Define speedy. Charles Manson and company committed the Tate/LaBianca murders inRead More 1969. The trial wasn’t until two years later. It took over a year before Jack Ruby went on trial for shooting Oswald. And the entire nation saw him do that on TV. The infamous Boston Strangler was caught in early 1964 but wasn’t sentenced until 1967. Its only on Law & Order that it goes from commission of the crime to sentencing in an hour.

Hey, you have to love WaWa, but who's watching the store. Management is sitting in the office, withRead More the cameras running. There's six to seven associates working the deli or making coffee and you have maybe 2 employees running the registers with a long line. Yet it's still a 50-50 chance of finding a hashbrown in the morning..........

So I read the article..but it's missing something....what happens next?...Does the officer warn theRead More Junkie of the dangers of Heroin, and then wishes him a good night ,and leaves?...or do they take him to the hospital for observation, and then released? do they check him into a rehab facility?,do they take him to jail?....seriously if any one knows what happens Post Narcan sniffing please enlighten me....Thank you...confused in Ocean County

louisemyrealtor appears to be touting herself as a future road rage victim - in case I don't get theRead More opportunity later, may you RIP if you get your wish
Declan Harrison April 18, 2014 at 12:15 pm
Louise, by all means drive at the speed limit, but driving deliberately slower just to torment otherRead More drivers will one day backfire on you. There are some unhinged people out there, and even relatively normal people once behind the wheel of a car can turn into Mr. Hyde. As a female, you are seriously setting yourself up for a bad outcome. If you can, let them pass. There's a slim chance that they will get a speeding ticket.
DAS April 18, 2014 at 12:38 pm
Why would you drive slower just to piss people off, haven't you read of people getting killed fromRead More road rage? By going slower, you are just as much a danger to other drivers as the ones texting and talking, you can get a ticket for driving too much under the speed limit, for hindering traffic....sorry state of affairs indeed!

POLL: Is The Christie Administration doing enough to combat old folks from crashing intoRead More motorcycles????
George Johnson April 16, 2014 at 08:22 am
The DMV is not doing enough. Time to retest people over 65 and do it every 2 years to ensure theyRead More are still sound enough to drive.

best thing you @ jeanine could do is keep those kids in school! after school projects clubs any kindRead More of activity you can get them in do it.sports dont have to be the only option but its one. then next would be hard but if possibe id move out of bayville to give them a fresh start..if courts are involved end any kind of visitation for now

@Dan. Thanks for responding .:) sorry for the delay on my behalf.... well here it goes..... I pledgeRead More to continue be the noble man I am. I would like to make one note that I couldn't imagine walking a mile in a doper's shoes. Sounds like a bad idea. And sounds dangerous. Heyward: You are so mean. Addicts don't wanna overdose you brainless piece of crap. So if theirRead More not breathing, just let them die? So lets just say that I knew you and thank God I don't because you seem like a heartless man who has no concern for human life, if you had a heart attack and fell to the ground, I'm gonna just let you die or call for help? I'd let you die. Is that about right?

One more thing. Let's say your child was a heroin addict and he/she OD, wouldn't you like someoneRead More to save him or her? @Grace, i hate to repeat myself, but i just posted this to the enlightened on the TR Patch and feltRead More it is also applicable herein: The feline is a third generation hybrid mix of bobcat and Maine coon cat; declawed; docile; and domesticated. Like most Patch commenters , Rocky has a brain about two inches in diameter (slightly larger than a golf ball but much smaller than a breadbox), though far exceeds the former in cognitive abilities, and I would venture to say is much more interesting.

It's the begging to the habit that fuels the heroin crisis! Start off with pills, then doctors go toRead More ja, so where else to feel better if they can't get the opioid prescription! Go give their $ to the STREET DOCTORS!!!
Mama April 10, 2014 at 02:53 pm
david: re-read the article please!
ken April 8, 2014 at 10:33 am
Let's look at this scenario. For starters, the btpd did a great job in identifying and arrestingRead More someone for possessing a form of the opiates that are bringing devastation to our communities. More often than not, these pills originate from a prescription from a doctor. Someone, somewhere, was prescribed enough pills for them to be available, or they were stolen. But more often than not they where bought. Bought from a pharmacy. Prescribed by a doctor. Last week, the patch of point boro ran a story where 28 law enforcement departments where involved in arresting a group of people for selling pot, with the vast majority of the arrests being for possession. 28 departments. What resources are being used to find the doctors that prescribe these pills, and the "patients" that sell them? 28 departments on a single case. We see the pot dealers and users getting arrested at the shore, but what about the true root of our problem, the pill doctors and the straw "patients?"
