Johnny Done it: No where in the article does it say she was at an illegal party (if I am incorrect,Read More please correct me). It is your assumption Julia was on her cell phone, I didn't read that in the article either. Stop making false a statements when you don't know the facts. It's people like you that start rumors. She was with her friends kayaking having a good time, minding her own business and she crossed the road and was hit. There are no street lights and the bend is very sharp. I've walked that road before and it's very dangerous by the creek. So before you go making a statement like you have, get your facts straight or keep your big mouth shut!

@RAMBO done it, your comments about jaywalking and illegal parties is unfounded and inappropriate toRead More post on an obituary, so spare me the subterfuge about respect. If you want to talk about respect, think about the emotions that may be drawn, and the heartache that may be felt when your inferences are read by family and friends. With that said- and, after reading your post- I suggest that it is you that has engaged in illegal activity. You should be formally charged civilly with negligence in conspiring to write a coherent comment and criminally for murder of the English language in the first degree.

JOHNNY Done It....You obviously didn't know Julia or you wouldn't have accused her of "headingRead More to an illegal party in the woods" You're defending the driver in this instance so you obviously do know her. If she is innocent then she has nothing to worry about. If she was driving too fast or not paying attention then her guilt will punish her for what happened. I'm a Christian myself, but I still find myself driving too fast sometimes and know that the area where she got hit is a dangerous place. I luckily avoided hitting someone there last summer (while I was driving too fast). I personally would like to see the drivers cell phone records to see if she was texting or on her cell phone at the time of the accident. I also would like to know how fast you have to be driving to send a person over 30 feet in the area. Julia played Basketball with my daughter and was a good kid who did a lot for others. She deserves better than you putting her down while trying to defend your friend. No one knows exactly what happened buy hopefully the truth will come out in the end

Post by Nancy Heins-Glaser. This make me very sad. Rebhorn was a true gentleman - the quiet andRead More gentle sort of a person who understood what really matters in life. Jim communicated this sincere knowing through his honest, open conversations whether in passing on the running track, during community events, or when interviewed. He was a great actor and a wonderful person. He touched a lot of people - what a loss for all of us. I am sending Jim's family prayerful and caring thoughts.

Stevie - Do you realize that one in six hospitals in the US is run (non-profit) by the CatholicRead More church? Imagine those closing? How many patients in those hospitals are not Catholic and yet are treated without question? I have a feeling that Americans sense of entitlement goes beyond the scope of the federal government and now apparently the church owes folks housing, education, healthcare, etc. We are in deep trouble when those with their hands out exceed the numbers of citizens able to fill them.

This chinese auction is planned a year in advance. The PTO is Saint Joe's Grade School is working onRead More next years as we speak! For those of you who don't know what that money is used for I will enlighten you. It is used for upkeep of the school i.e. refinishing of the gymnasium floors and other repairs that the school may need. See, unlike the public schools the Catholic Schools do not have unlimited funds to make the repairs anytime that they want. They are not supported by the TAXPAYERS they survive by tuition and fundraisers! About Hurricane Sandy.. in addition to housing those families the schools (Saint Joe's Grade School and Monsignor Donovan High School) filled a tractor trailer FULL of food, water, blankets and clothing for people affected by Hurricane Sandy, at a Monsignor Donovan football game people were asked to bring some kind of food item or a school item to help the Lavallette School while they were being house at St. Barbara's Greek Church after Hurricane Sandy. Plus, the schools also run food drives for the parish food pantry that not only feeds members of the parish who need help with food but, also help feed many others in the community, there are kids from the high school that go and give out food to people in Asbury Park. They high school sports teams and music department go Irvington and give gifts to underprivileged kids, they work with Habitat for Humanity and many other so before you run your mouth perhaps you get your facts straight!
