The public works department provides a wide variety of services to Berkeley Township residents. Employees pick up trash and recyclables, sand and plow roads, maintain signage, maintain and repair storm drainage systems, maintain and repair all township roads and plan and implement public capital improvements for parks, beaches and recreation areas. The department is divided into three divisions: streets and roads, equipment maintenance and sanitation. Steven J. Seiler is the Principal Public Works Manager. Mark C. Vannella is the Solid Waste and Recycling Supervisor. Gary R. Smith is the Equipment Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor.

  • Hours: Recycling center: Mon - Fri, 8am - 3pm; Sat, Sun, 9am - 2pm. Residents must show a valid driver's license with a Berkeley Township address, a tax bill or a recent utility bill.
