Berkeley Cheer Teams Place in NJAYF Competition

It was the first Cheer Competition New Jersey American Youth Football has hosted since their switch to American Youth Football earlier this year.

And Tina Certo, secretary to the NJAYF Jersey Shore, said it went off without a hitch, when hundreds of children and teens competed in the Jersey Shore region last Sunday in Trenton.

Certo said the response was tremendous: 58 cheer, five contender and two game day cheer and dance teams performed their 2 ½ minute routines to a packed arena.

Today the NJAYF announced the results of the Sunday competition. Certo released the following line-up of the winners:
