Seven Things Happening In And Around Berkeley This Week

Monday - Be prepared! Attend zombie awareness training at 6 p.m. at the Berkeley branch of the Ocean County Library at 30 Station Road in Bayville. You never know when the zombie apocalypse will hit. For ages 13-18. For more information, call 732-269-2144.

Tuesday - The Ladies Auxiliary of the Bayville First Aid Squad will be selling meatball subs at the squad building at the corner of Station Road and Route 9 South from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Subs are $3.50 and are available for pick-up or delivery.

Wednesday - The Berkeley Township school district is holding several forums to seek input on the search for a new superintendent. The forum for parents is slated for 2 p.m., for the staff at 4 p.m. and the general public at 6:30 p.m., at the Berkeley Township Elementary School on 10 Emory Avenue in Bayville.

Thursday - Bingo night, sponsored by the Bingo Club, Clubhouse #2, Port Royal Drive. Doors open at 5 p.m., bingo starts at 6:30 p.m.

Thursday - Woof Tales - read to the dog, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Berkeley branch of the Ocean County Library on 10 Emory Avenue in Bayville. Event is open to all young readers.

Saturday - Super Smash Brothers Brawl Tournament, 1 p.m., Berkeley branch of the Ocean County Library. Test your Super Smash Brothers Brawl skills againt your fellow teens in a classic bracketed tournament. Prices will be awarded. Registration is required. For more information, call 732-269-2144.

Saturday and Sunday - The American Cancer Society's annual Relay for Life kicks off at Veterans Park in Bayville at noon. Teams will walk all day and night to raise money. Food, music, games and a silent auction are planned.
