Broadway Comes to Bayville

Central Regional High School drama club production slated for Nov. 17 and Nov. 18

Central Regional drama club members are gearing up for their upcoming production "Give My Regards to Broadway" later this week, said drama club coach Beth Moore.

About 30 of the 100 club members starting gearing up for the show back in September, she said.

The show will feature songs and scenes from Broadway shows, including: Lion King, Jersey Boys, Rent, Legally Blonde, Les Miserables, Mamma Mia, Ragtme, A Little Night Music, Hair, Spelling Bee and Chicago, Moore said.

"It's coming together," she said. "We have a great time."

Moore, who graduated from Central Regional back in 1991, was a classmate of Superinendent Triantafillos Parlapanides. She went on to earn a graduate degree in music, but heard about an opening at Central Regional back in 2000.

"I decided to come back," she said.

These days she presides over high school and middle school music and choral programs, the drama club, and also teaches adaptive music classes for special education students.

"It's busy," she said. "But I love it here."
