Quick Chek Comes to Bayville & Supports Berkeley Little League

Recently some appreciative players and coaches were invited by Bayville Quick Chek Store Leader Gene Woerner to stop by for a very BIG surprise. When the excited coaches and players arrived, Gene and store associate Jean Adams presented the league with a BIG check as a donation celebrating the beautiful store's Grand Opening.

For the first month of store operation, Quick Chek donated 25 cents for every sandwich purchased to the Berkeley Little League. This came to a whopping $2593 !

"Quick Chek has really made a great effort to join and support our community with this very generous donation" said League President Bob Everett, as Woerner passed him the real check while the kids marveled at the giant ceremonial one. "We will be sure to put this donation to good use for our kids."

"Quick Chek is a family run company that has a great appreciation for the communities in which it has stores" said Woerner. "My son has played for years in a local youth league, so I know first hand how much this support from our company can mean on a local level."

After the ceremonial photos were taken coach Todd Sajewicz said "I bet I know what you guys want" and then he treated the players to one of their favorite items at the gleaming new store, fresh blended frozen milkshakes! Then it was off to do homework and baseball practice for the sugar-spiked, excited ballplayers.
