MONDAY - Berkeley Township Council meeting, 7 p.m., Town Hall, 627 Pinewald-Keswick Road, Bayville. The caucus meeting starts at 7, followed immediately by the regular council meeting. Hint: most of the discussion takes place at the caucus meeting.

MONDAY - English Conversation Group, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Berkeley Township branch of the Ocean County Library, 30 Station Road, Bayville.

MONDAY - Titanic Memorabilia display, all month, Lacey Township branch of the Ocean County Library, Lacey Road.

WEDNESDAY - Ocean County Board of Freeholders, pre-board meeting, 4 p.m., third floor, Ocean County Administration Building, 101 Hooper Avenue, Toms River.

THURSDAY - Berkeley Township Historical Society, 7:30 p.m., Berkeley Township Recreation Center, 630 Route 9 South, Bayville.

THURSDAY - "Railroads in the Pines," 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Nature Center, Jakes Branch County Park, 500 Double Trouble Road, Beachwood. Come and watch a PowerPoint demonstration on the railroads that used to wind through the pines, including the Blue Comet, Barnegat Branch, Tuckerton Railroad, Pennsylvania Railroad and the Jersey Devil Railroad. The fee is $3 per person. Ages 14 and up. Presentation is limited to a maximum of 12.

THURSDAY - Bingo night, sponsored by the Holiday City at Berkeley Bingo Club, Clubhouse #2, Port Royal Drive. Doors open at 5 p.m., bingo starts at 6:30 p.m.

FRIDAY - Book discussion, "A Year of Magical Thinking," by Joan Didion, 1 p.m., Berkeley branch of the Ocean County Library, 30 Station Road, Bayville.

SATURDAY -Signs of Spring Scavenger Hunt, 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., Jakes Branch County Park, 500 Double Trouble Road, Beachwood, free, all ages, no registration required.

SUNDAY - Live Animal Talks, 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Nature Center, Jakes Branch County Park, 500 Double Trouble Road, Beachwood. Come and meet some of the park's inhabitants. The event is free and open to all ages.
