Wednesday - Pinelands Primer, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Nature Center, Jakes Branch County Park, Double Trouble Road, Beachwood. Take a laid-back nature walk in the park. The program is free, open to all ages. Maximum of 15 participants.

Wednesday - Ocean County Board of Freeholders, caucus meeting, 4 p.m., Ocean County Administration Building, 101 Hooper Avenue, Toms River.

Thursday - The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office will hold a workshop for parents on CyberBullying and Beyond at 7 p.m. in the Berkeley Township Elementary School. Topics covered include texting, webcams, and identity theft. Authorities will discuss their role in law enforcement and available resources.

Thursday - Berkeley Township Historical Society, 7 p.m., Berkeley Township Recreation building, Route 9 South, Bayville.

Thursday - Bingo night, sponsored by the Holiday City at Berkeley Bingo Club, Clubhouse #2, Port Royal Drive. Doors open at 5 p.m., bingo starts at 6:30 p.m. 

Thursday - Free blood pressure screening, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Berkeley branch of the Ocean County Libary, 30 Station Road, Bayville. Screening will be done by the Ocean County Health Department. No registration is required.

Friday - Book discussion on Still Alice, about a woman affected by early onset Alzheimer Disease, 1 p.m., Berkeley branch of the Ocean County Library, 30 Station Road, Bayville.

Saturday - 18th Annual Pine Barrens Jamboree, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wells Mills County Park, Waretown. Free admission and parking. Music of the Pines, cultural demonstrations and lectures, crafts and crafters, kids games, nature and history programs, food, free shuttle buses. Featured event: the Hindenburg Disaster - 75 years later.

Saturday - Axed! Lizzie Borden and the 40 Whacks, 2 p.m. Berkeley branch of the Ocean County Library. The Nine Theatrical group presents an interactive murder/mystery recreating one of the most notorious murders in history. Audience members can hear both the prosecution and defense sides, then decide whether Lizzie committed the infamous double murder. Register at www.theoceancountylibrary.org or call 732-269-2144.

Sunday - The popular "Live Animal Talks" returns to Jakes Branch County Park today from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the park's Nature Center off Double Trouble Road in Beachwood. Visitors get an up close look at park inhabitants and learn about each species. The program is free and open to all ages.
