MONDAY -Yarn Dolls, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Berkeley branch of the Ocean County Library, 30 Station Road, Bayville. Knit or crochet, bring your unfinished projects. No registration required.

MONDAY - There's still time to register for the 10 a.m. Millrace Hike on Saturday at Double Trouble State Park. The 2 to 3-mile hike follows the tea-colored waters of the reservoir on Cedar Creek, a century-old sawmill and leads to three cranberry bogs. Please call park office at 732-341-4098 to register. Hike is limited to 20 participants.

TUESDAY - Bluebird Trail, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Come and help a park naturalist maintain the trail at Jakes Branch County Park for the spring nesting season, Double Trouble Road, Beachwood. Meet at the Nature Center. The program is open to all, fee is $2. The event needs a minimum of 8 participants and is limited to a maximum of 20.

WEDNESDAY - Ocean County Board of Freeholders, regular meeting, 4 p.m., Room 119, Ocean County Administration Building, 101 Hooper Avenue, Toms River.

THURSDAY- Fireside Storytelling and Craft, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Pull up a chair in front of the fireplace at the Nature Center at Jakes Branch County Park and listen to children's stories. Children can then make a nature-themed craft related to the story. Ages 2.5 years to 5 years. The fee is $3 per adult and $3 per child. Program needs a minimum of 10 and can accept a maximum of 20.

THURSDAY -Toms River: A Story of Science and Salvation, 7 p.m., Toms River branch of the Ocean County Library, Washington Street, Toms River. THURSDAY - Bingo night, sponsored by the Holiday City at Berkeley Bingo Club, Clubhouse #2, Port Royal Drive. Doors open at 5 p.m., bingo starts at 6:30 p.m.

SATURDAY - 1st Annual Strike Out Autism Baseball Challenge fundraiser, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Veterans Park and Central Regional High School. The event features two varsity baseball games, including Central Regional versus St. John Vianney; and family fun at Veterans Park. Music, food, vendors, face painting, pony rides and bounce houses will be features. All proceeds from the event will be split between POAC (Parents of Autistic Children) and Autism Speaks.

SATURDAY - Just Plain Funny - Linda Turash Productions presents a montage of comedic skits, 2 p.m., Berkeley branch of the Ocean County Library, 30 Station Road, Bayville. Please register at www.theoceancountylibrary.org or call 732-269-2144.

SATURDAY - Millrace Hike, 10 a.m., Double Trouble State Park, Pinewald-Keswick Road, Bayville. Meet at the park information center.

SATURDAY - "Peepers in the Pines," 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., Nature Center, Jakes Branch County Park, Double Trouble Road, Beachwood. Come meet the live frogs and toads that live at the park and stroll around the front pond to hear them. Fee is $4 per person, ages 3 years to adult. The class needs a minimum of eight and can accept up to 24 people.
