WEDNESDAY - Ocean County Board of Freeholders, 4 p.m., Room 119, Ocean County Administration Building, 101 Hooper Avenue, Toms River. The public hearing on the 2013 county budget is on the agenda.

THURSDAY - Bingo night, sponsored by the Holiday City at Berkeley Bingo Club, Clubhouse #2, Port Royal Drive. Doors open at 5 p.m., bingo starts at 6:30 p.m.

THURSDAY- Berkeley Township Planning Board, 6:30 p.m., Town Hall, 627 Pinewald-Keswick Road, Bayville.

SATURDAY- Ocean County Parks and Recreation 38th Annual Fishing Contest, 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Lake Shenandoah County Park, Route 88, Lakewood. Participants can fish any freshwater lake or river in Ocean County. Register at the park's boat house. The fee is $4 for ages 16 and up, and $2 for children under 16. Anyone 16 or over must have a freshwater fishing license and trout stamp if fishing for trout. Prizes will be awarded from 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call Jakes Branch County Park at 732-281-2750 or go online at www.oceancountyparks.org. The event will be held rain or shine.

SUNDAY - Live Animal Talks, 1 p.m., Nature Center, Jakes Branch County Park, 500 Double Trouble Road, Beachwood. Come and meet some of the park's inhabitants. The program is free and open to all ages.
