Seven Things Happening In Berkeley This Week

Meeting-packed week ends with Berkeley Shores Homeowners Civic Association's annual Blessing of the Fleet

 

Monday - Stokes fundraiser at Tony's Pizza from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Buy a pizza or another item for $10. The business will donate 25 percent of the day's proceeds to the Stokes State Forest trip for Berkeley Township Elementary School students.

Monday - Central Regional Alumni Association, 7 p.m., Central Regional High School, Forest Hills Parkway in Bayville.

Tuesday - Berkeley Township Council, 7 p.m., Town Hall, 627 Pinewald-Keswick Road. The caucus meeting starts at 7, followed immediately by the regular council meeting. Most of the discussion and public comment takes place during the caucus meeting.

Wednesday - Berkeley Township Board of Adjustment, Town Hall, 627 Pinewald-Keswick Road. The board will consider "The Cove On The Toms River At Berkeley." The developer is seeking a number of variances to construct 19 single-family homes, a parking lot, 44 boat slips, 44 Jet-Ski slips and a store on the old Santo Marina property on Williams Street.

Thursday - Berkeley Township Board of Education, 6:30 p.m. at the Berkeley Township Elementary School, 10 Emory Avenue in Bayville.

Thursday - Bingo night, sponsored by the Bingo Club, Clubhouse #2, Port Royal Drive. Doors open at 5 p.m., bingo starts at 6:30 p.m.

Sunday - The Berkeley Shores Homeowners Civic Association is sponsoring the annual Blessing of the Fleet and Memorial Day Service off Amherst Beach in Bayville. The event gets underway at noon.
