Schedule Issued For South Seaside Park Residents to Access Homes

Plan had to be approved by the state Department of Transportation

Mayor Carmen Amato, Police Chief Karin DiMichele and the Berkeley Township Office of Emergency Management announced the following plan to allow residents the ability to access their homes in South Seaside Park. All plans had to be approved by the state Department of Transportation:

According to the press release from Amato:

"This will be a multiple-phase process that applies to all homes on the barrier island.  The following dates are allotted to provide access for a brief visit and the ability to collect belongings.

Please note:  Visits are dependent on SAFE WEATHER conditions and specific guidelines:

1. Bus registration will start at 8:30 a.m. and buses will depart at 9:15 a.m. from the Ocean County Mall parking lot. No personal vehicles will be permitted to drive over the bridge.

2. You must have proof of residency (i.e. driver’s license, tax bill or utility bill).  It will be checked and collected prior to loading onto the bus.  All credentials will be returned when you return to the bus for departure.

3. You may remain in your homes for the entire time allotted but must be back on the bus by 2 p.m.  The buses will drive down the designated streets to assist with loading of residents and luggage.

4. Only 2 people per household.

5. You may only bring one suitcase per person, which must be labeled with name and address.  We suggest you also bring contractor garbage bags, duct tape and sharpie marker.

6. Residents may use this opportunity to winterize their home.  Residents may bring the antifreeze to complete this process, but it must be packed in the suitcase that they are bringing for their belongings. Remember that there is a time limit.

7. We are trying to accommodate all residents and need you to adhere to the schedule:

  • Friday, Nov. 9: All residents of 20th-24th from the ocean to the bay.
  • Saturday, Nov. 10: All residents from Millers Camp, Shore Villas, 15th Ave, Beach Drive, Surf Drive, Anchor Drive, Midway Ave, Kathryn Ave, Sprague Ave.
  • Sunday, Nov. 11: All of the lanes on Midway Beach, Roberts Ave, Gerard Ave.

Residents seeking further information are advised to check the township police department's Facebook page, which gets updated frequently.

Some tribes in Sudan and Senegal http://www.coachoutletonlinexc.net/ Coach Factory Outlet have an average height of 6-foot-6, which also happens to be the size of the average NBA player. People in Nigeria, http://www.louisvuittonoutletam.net/ Louis Vuitton Purses Mali and Congo tend to be very big and physical. We need to build a strategy to go into these regions http://www.coachoutletstoreze.com/ Coach Factory Outlet and cultivate the talent through infrastructure and instruction. Not long ago, soccer in Africa was almost http://www.guccibeltsoutletds.net/ Gucci Belts the same way. It was untapped.Kids in Africa start kicking a ball when they are six or seven years old, if not younger. http://www.coachfactoryonlinefn.net/ Coach Factory Outlet It's like baseball, basketball and football in America. If you're talented, people will find you. That's what http://www.coachfactoryonlineae.com/ Coach Factory Outlet happened with soccer. The number of academies has grown rapidly, and people are really into it. As a http://www.coachoutletb1.com/ Coach Factory Online result, nearly every major soccer team has a lot of African players.Through my experience as a Nigerian player, http://www.coachoutlethcs.com/ Coach Outlet Online coach and now NBA executive, I believe basketball can follow a similar path. It starts with building facilities. We need http://www.coachoutletonlinegc.com/ Coach Outlet Online to start investing in outdoor courts and indoor gyms for kids to play.

Hi Pat: Thank you so much for your time & efforts. You know how important I feel a free,Read More independent and viable press is. Freedom of the press is one of our countires most vital rights and needs to be protected, literally at all costs. Without the ability for the average citizen to investigate, critiicise, praise and comment on government, business, education and all facets of our lives the Great American Democracy would not exist - even if it does produce annonymous curmudgeons like the Chief and the rest of the fan club. ;-) That being said, the digital media world is still trying to find its way into a viable business model. I was very excited about the 'hyper' local idea of the Patch, but the challenges you mentioned are real. However, I do feel based on my dealing with the Patch on several levels (blogger, community person & advertiser) the corporate leadership does not quite get the 'hyper-local' idea - they like it only if it produces revenue. What comes firt guys, the classic 'chicken or the egg'. Advertising is all about numbers, and in our community that was tough to overcome - I see both sides. It was a pleasure having a 'hometown' reporter that actually had the knowledge, perspective and understanding of our community as only one that lives here can. You will be missed on these pages, but it will be still be good to see you around town! So good luck to you in Lacey & Barnegat, Ill be happy to share any of my contacts, never dull there either! This has been one heck of a learning experience and yes, it has exhausted so many of us. The onlyRead More way to keep going really is to take it one day at a time and know if you wake up tomorrow something you never dreamed of is bound to happen.

all three siddons lost. Kukla Fran and Ollie... you ran for revenge and not for the people. itRead More showed and you lost.

Quit whining, Fran. You were always just in it for yourself. You wanted to be "CouncilwomanRead More Fran Siddons." Most people saw right through you. You biggest mistake was believing your inflated sense of self.

Why couldn't you just write a classy speech, you chose to look like a sore loser once again. YouRead More listed reasons for losing and you and I both, know you tried to talk to the board workers and the Republican Challenger had to ask you to stop. You stood right outside the doors and tried to talk to voters also, you did this at all the polling places. You had 3 challengers to 1 republican challenger at the polls, so how could all that you say get done. Why didn't they call the election board? Come on Fran, just admit the people DO REMEMBER and that is why you lost.
