The Borough of Ocean Gate will be holding a fundraiser for the rebuilding of its playground.
The Borough has been working very closely with Kaboom Playgrounds the past year or so in seeking a corporate sponsor to help in building a brand new playground. Many surrounding communities have been fortunate enough in working with Kaboom and were able to gain corporate sponsors. We are still waiting.
There are many requirements along the way in order to get the corporate funding and the Borough is moving along in this process. Part of the process is that the Borough come up with approx $8500 as its share towards the new playground.
So the Borough will be hosting a spaghetti and meatball dinner from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 3. The event will take place at Adrian Hall, 30 East Cape May Avenue, Ocean Gate. Donation is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Dinner includes salad , spaghetti and meatballs , bread, and dessert and coffee. ALL proceeds will go to the Ocean Gate/ Kaboom Playground project.
