Mayor's Latest 'Town Hall' Meeting For Berkeley Shores Residents Slated For Tonight

Meeting kicks off at 7 p.m. at H & M Potter School on Veeder Lane, FEMA reps expected to attend

Mayor Carmen F. Amato Jr. and a number of township officials will be on hand at the H & M Potter School tonight for the latest in his series of "Town Hall" meetings.

The meeting gets underway at 7 p.m. in all-purpose room at the elementary school on Veeder Lane. Although it is primarily for the Berkeley Shores Homeowners Civic Association, any resident may attend.

Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele, Tax Assessor Eric L. Zanetti, Township Engineer Alan J. Dittenhofer and other officials will be on hand.

"This is your opportunity to hear of the mayors’ plans and for you to address issues in the municipality that are of concern to you," Association President
Fred Bekiarian said on the group's website. "Police Chief DiMichele will address law enforcement issues and as well as her experiences with Superstorm Sandy. Please set your calendars for Thursday night. Hope to see all of you there."

Representatives of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will also attend the meeting, Amato said.

FEMA representatives will also be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Berkeley branch of the Ocean County Library, 30 Station Road, Bayville, today and Friday.

Why do they continually send trillions over seas to people who hate us, when we suffer? Our taxes are for "we the people" to use! Fema only helped just enough to get by and to be able to say, "what a wonderful job that we are doing!" Unfotunately for those who are elected, they wont be next time...
