Christmas Tree lighting, other holiday events, meetings slated
Monday - American Red Cross blood drive at the Berkeley Branch of the Ocean County Library on 30 Station Road in Bayville. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are allowed. Please call 732-269-2144 or sign up online at www.redcrossblood.org.
Monday - WREP - When Radio Entertained People!- 7 p.m. at the Toms River branch of the Ocean County Library, Washington Street, Toms River. The show features live, onstage entertainment of three holiday-themed radio shows, including The Bickersons, Life of Riley and A Christmas Carol.
Thursday - Township Christmas tree lighting ceremony, 6 p.m., Veterans Park at the bandshell. The event includes music and refreshments and maybe a visit from a certain jolly man in a red suit. For more information, contact the Recreation Department at 732-269-4456, or by e-mail at www.btrec.org.

Thursday - Cyberbullying: What you need to know - for parents and teachers. 6:30 p.m., Ocean County Library, Washington Street, Toms River. Representatives from the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office will explain state anti-bullying laws and take questions from the audience. The film, "Sticks and Stones" will also be shown.

Thursday - Central Regional High School Toys for Tots basketball game in the high school gymnasium. The fundraiser gets underway at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday - Bingo night, sponsored by the Holiday City at Berkeley Bingo Club, Clubhouse #2, Port Royal Drive. Doors open at 5 p.m., bingo starts at 6:30 p.m.
