Contractor 'Expo' On Tap For Tonight At Township Recreation Center

Meet local professionals available for storm aftermath work, FEMA representatives

Residents scrambling to line up contractors for storm aftermath work will have a chance to meet area professionals at the township Recreation Center from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight.

"This will give the residents an opportunity to meet various contractors," Mayor Carmen F. Amato Jr. said. "This is a free event."

Local contractors need to register by filling out a form by calling 732-269-4457.

"Only New Jersey home improvement contractors registered with the state Division of Consumer Affairs can participate," the mayor said.

Representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the township engineer's office and the construction department will also be on hand to answer questions and help residents with permits.

The Recreation Center is located at 630 Route 9 South in Bayville.
