United Water Toms River and Berkeley Township police are on the scene of a water main break in the Route 37 area, police said.
According to the United Water website, a temporary shutdown was necessary at roughly 4 a.m. today due to the break. Repairs were expected to be completed by 2 p.m. today, according to the company's website.
As this temporary shutdown caused a depressurization of that main a boil water advisory has been issued for the affected area.
