Troopers Respond to 140 Reported Crashes From Snowy Tuesday

State police warn of black ice overnight for next couple days

From the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management:

NJ State Troopers responded to 140 calls of reported crashes as of 5pm and almost 250 aid calls. Help them out--stay off the roads !

As night time temps drop, the chance of black ice increases. Please take your time driving as salting operations continue. The snow and slush you saw today will freeze up tonight.

We're going to experience very cold temps for the next several days, so the ice isn't going away anytime soon. Monitoring conditions for the upcoming weekend ... there is some potential for a storm, but we're still a few days out; the forecast will continue to evolve.
