A Toms River man who told a woman he "stabbed people before" has been indicted by an Ocean County grand jury on three counts of making terroristic threats.
Keith T. Novajovsky of Toms River also was indicted on counts of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon by a convicted person in the Aug. 28 incident in Toms River, according to the indictment.
The indictment says Novajovsky threatened Jennifer Lake with a knife, saying "Don't tempt me, I've stabbed people before." He also threatened Keith Novajovsky and Bernadette Novajovsky, saying he would "get a gun and put a bullet in one of them," according to the indictment.
According to the indictment, Novajovsky was convicted in Monmouth County in June 1990, which disqualifies him from being permitted to own or possess a weapon.
Novajovsky posted $50,000 bail, with no 10 percent option, on Oct. 27, with the bail condition that he have no contact with the victims.
Others recently indicted by the grand jury:
-- Brian K. Funkhouser Jr., Berkeley Township, on a count of making a terroristic threat and a county of unlawful possession of a weapon, in an Oct. 25 incident in Manchester.
Funkhouser is accused of threatening the victim, identified only by the initials A.S., by threatening to kill the victim's father. He also is accused of possessiong a Remington 870 Express shotgun without having obtained a firearm purchaser identifier card.
Funkhouser was charged and released on his own recognizance.
-- Aaron C. Lee of Colts Neck, on two counts of making a terroristic threat, in a Sept. 9 incident in Toms River.
Lee is accused of making two death threats against a victim identified only as M.L.
Lee posted $2,500 cash bail on Sept. 13.
