Owners Of Daycare Center Charged With Theft And Vandalism

Incident took place during relocation of business, police report states

 

Police recently charged a local couple with theft and vandalism when they moved their Bayville day care center to another location on Route 9.

Charles and Denise Wolf are accused of causing $10,000 worth of damage to the unit at 950 Route 9 where they ran Tomorrow's Future and stealing $10,000 worth of items, according to the police report.

Wood flooring was torn out, sinks taken off walls, sheetrock was damaged and electrical lines ripped out, the police report states.

The owner of the unit the couple rented from had evicted the Wolfs earlier this month. The owner went to the unit after he heard reports that the couple were threatening to damage the unit and remove items from the property, according to the police report.

Nearby tenants told police the bulk of the moving took place on Jan. 24. The co-manager for the property at 950 Route 9 accompanied police to the new location at 661 Route 9 and identified furniture that had been taken.

Police obtained a search warrant and later arrested Charles Wolf. His bail was set at $35,000. He was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River. Denise Wolf was arrested and charged with theft and criminal mischief, the police report states.
