Seats Still Available For Drug Forum Tonight At Stafford Township Arts Center

Event will run from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Parents and guardians who didn't register for a county drug abuse forum can still attend the event tonight at the Stafford Township Arts Center.

"They can show up at the door, but they are not guaranteed a seat," said Michele Buldo, coordinator of the DART coalition, one of the events sponsors.

So far 400 people have registered for the forum. Since registration ends at 3 p.m., the event sponsors have agreed to let walk-ins attend, depending on how much room is left, she said.

Speakers will include Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato, former New York Giants running back Keith Elias, Douglas S. Collier, drug initiative coordinator and law enforcement liaison for the state Attorney General's Office.

Maureen, Jesse and Tyler John Morella will also discuss "Jesse's Journey."

The forum - "Can We Talk?" - will include tips on how to discuss drug use and drug abuse with children.

The Arts Center is located at 1000 McKinley Avenue in Manahawkin.

The event is sponsored by the DART Coalition of Ocean County, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office and the Barnabas Health Initiative.
