Police Revive Overdose Victim With Narcan At Double Trouble State Park

Berkeley Township Animal Control also responded to secure the man's dogs, which were in the car with him

Two township police officers who responded to a call of an unconscious man in a car at the entrance to Double Trouble State Park revived him with Narcan, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Patrolman Michael O'Connor and Detective John Legg went to the park at 4 p.m. on April 25, where they found they determined that man was unconscious from a possible opiate overdose, the chief said.

The officers applied Narcan and shortly after, the man regained consciousness, DiMichele said.

He was then treated by MONOC paramedics and Bayville First Aid Squad members and taken to Community Medical Center in Toms River, the chief said.

Berkeley Township Animal Control officers secured the man's dogs, which were in the car with him, DiMichele said.
