Police Report Burglaries In Several Sections Of Town

Four homeowners have reported attempted break-ins or actual burglaries over the past week, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

• An Anchorage Boulevard resident called police at 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 11 to report that a quantity of jewelry was stolen from their home. Police determined that a forced entry had been made. Anyone with any information is asked to call Det. John Legg at 732-341-1132 x 111, the chief said.

• A resident of First Avenue in Manitou Park called police at 11:52 p.m. on Dec. 14 to report the home was entered and items were taken. Police determined that a forced entry was made, causing damage to the home and that money and personal items were stolen. entry was made and quantities of money and personal items were removed.  Anyone with any information is asked to call Det. Mroczka at 732-341-1132 x 122, DiMichele said.

• A Chain Boulevard resident called police at 3:35 p.m. on Dec. 15 to report that the home had been entered and items stolen. Police later determined that a forced entry was made and a quantity of jewelry was taken, the chief said. Anyone with information should call Det. Mroczka at 732-341-1132, ext. 122.

• A Sylvan Lakes Boulevard resident called police at 5:45 a.m. on Dec. 16 after his home alarm went off. The resident said that someone had disturbed his door and tried to enter the home. Police later determined that no entry had been made and no items had been taken, the chief said.
