Police Looking For Person Who Shot Car With Flare Gun

Incident happened on Sloop Creek Road


Berkeley police are looking for tips in connection with a May 19 incident where someone fired a flare gun at a parked car in Bayville, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Officers responded to an area on Sloop Creek Road on a report of criminal mischief at 5:15 p.m. The vehicle sustained moderate damage, no injuries were  reported, the chief said.

The suspect was observed driving a small white vehicle.  Anyone with any information is urged to call the Berkeley Township Police at 732-341-1132 x 611.  Information can be confidential, DiMichele said.
