Berkeley police are looking any information dealing with the Dec. 28 burglary of the Gastosas Deli on Plaza Drive in Holiday City, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Patrolman William Somers responded to the store at 9:30 p.m. in response to a burglar alarm. He found that someone had forced their way into the store, the chief said.

"A check of the area for the suspect met with negative results," DiMichele said.

Patrol officers from the Toms River Police Department patrol and K-9 Unit assisted with a search.  Berkeley Township Det. Scott Stoker and the Ocean County Sheriffs Department Criminalistic Investigative Unit (CIU) responded to process and investigate the scene, the chief said.

Anyone with information regarding this burglary is asked to call the Berkeley Township Police Department at (732) 341-6600.
