From Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele:

Chief Di Michele would like to thank all of those who assisted in supporting our police officers, firefighters and EMT's during these fires.

In our time of crisis we are proud of our community for coming together to provide for our neighbors. Countless volunteers have went out of their way to help out our emergency workers. This is greatly appreciated by all.

A special thank you to our local businesses who donated their services .
These businesses include Schianos Pizza, Dunkin Donuts, Buono Appetito Restaurant , Shop Rite of Bayville, The Cub Scouts of Beachwood and Pine Beach and the American Red Cross.

The food, water, fruit and other supplies kept our responders in "the fight" allowing them to effectively do their jobs. A special thanks to Cheryl Alteri for coordinating this massive supply effort.

Please remember that we continue to fight these fires and we ask that all our residents be patient with our efforts as we endeavour to ensure the safety of our community.

Great job by the firefighters, police and citizens who were traffic directors. Great job to the guys who directed traffic on Western. It could have been much worse if the firefighters didn't do such a great job. thank you!
