By Patricia A. Miller

A Lacey Township man is lodged in the Ocean County Jail after police recently arrested him for breaking into A's Hardware and Garden Center on Nov. 1, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Michael Mennicucci smashed seven windows before he entered the store. He took $600 in cash and then fled the area, the chief said.

He was arrested on Jan. 7, following an investigation by police department detectives. Mennicucci was charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief. His bail was set at $10,000, with no 10 percent option, DiMichele said.
