Police Arrest Two On Drug Charges After Motor Vehicle Stop At Cumberland Farms

Berkeley Township police recently arrested a Bayville man and an Ocean Gate man on drug charges, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Patrolmen John Houghkirk Patrick Stesner responded to the Cumberland Farms store in Bayville on Nov. 11 on a report of a suspicious vehicle, the chief said.

They conducted a motor vehicle stop outside the store and arrested Jesse James, 25, Bayville, and Shannon Bane, 27, Ocean Gate, DiMichele said.

Police charged James with possession of drug paraphernalia. Bane was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were released on a summons, the chief said.
