Police are asking anyone with information about the theft of a outboard motor taken from the yard of a Bayview Avenue home recently to come forward, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said
Patrolman John Houghkirk responded to the residence at 1:40 p.m. on May 22 on a theft report. The victim told police that a 225 HP outboard motor had been taken from his yard, the chief said.
Detective Mroczka and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department Criminalistics Investigative Unit (CIU) responded to process the scene. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Berkeley Township Police Department at 732-341-6600. Tips can remain confidential.
