Ocean Gate Man Facing Burglary, Other Charges

Christopher Grim lodged in Ocean County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail

 

Ocean Gate police recently arrested a 32-year-old borough man after Patrolman Andrew Welsh found him with burglary tools on the second floor of an East Bayview Avenue home, Patrolman Barry Wohl said.

Christopher Grim, East Lakewood Avenue, was arrested and charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal mischief and obstruction after the May 31 incident, Wohl said.

Officer Welsh was on patrol around 11 p.m. when he noticed the front of the unoccupied house had a broken window. He found Grim on the second floor when he went to investigate the inside of the house, Wohl said.

Grim had keys, wrenches and rolling papers in his possession. He declined to be fingerprinted and was also charged with obstruction, he said.

Grim was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of $50,000 bail, with no ten percent option, Wohl said.
