Ocean County Grand Jury Indicts Two Area Residents
Bayville residents charged in separate incidents
An Ocean County Grand Jury has indicted a Bayville man on charges of aggravated assault and weapons charges.
Joseph Granberg, Stanford Drive, is accused of assaulting Carolyn Granberg with a pellet gun on Aug. 6 in Berkeley Township.
He is also accused of having the pellet gun for an unlawful purpose and having it illegally after being convicted of aggravated assault, burglary, endangering the welfare of a child and an earlier weapons offense.

Granberg is free on $100,000, on the condition that he have no contact with the alleged victim, according to the indictment.
Also indicted was Toni A. Penniman, Widgeon Drive, Bayville. She is charged by the grand jury with distributing heroin Jan. 15, 2010 in Berkeley Township, and with having the drug with the intention of distributing it.
