The area director for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has confirmed that an investigator is on site compiling information on the accident that occured at the northwest corner of Route 9 and Butler Boulevard.

The president of the construction company, James G. Petrucci, said the company's safety director is working with OSHA and the local authorities to determine why the accident occured.

"The subcontractor involved, CCS, Incorporated, is an experienced erector of wood trusses with an outstanding safety record," he said.

"...We look forward to restoring the project and the safe return to the jobsite of all involved," said Petrucci.

In a prepared stated, the president and CEO of Quick Chek, Dean Durling, said, "...At this early construction stage Quick Chek does not have any involvement or possession of the property in question. We are in constant contact with J.G. Petrucci Company, the developer and manager of the property. We anticipate the Petrucci Company will make a full investigation of the incident and share its findings with our company and the community at large in the days ahead.

The statement went on to say, "This incident does not change our plans for  aking possession of the property at the completion of construction sometime in early 2012. Meanwhile, we wish the Petrucci workers involved a speedy and safe recovery. Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured construction workers and their families.”
