No Criminal Charges Filed Against Driver Who Struck Youth On June 12, Police Chief Says

Accident happened at the intersection of Mill Creek Road and Lewis Avenue

No criminal charges have been filed against the driver of a car involved in a pedestrian accident on the evening of June 12, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

The Ocean County Prosecutor's and the Berkeley police department are still investigating the circumstances of the accident. A 16-year-old Bayville boy was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center following the accident, police have said.

The accident happened at 8:49 p.m. at the intersection of Mill Creek Road and Lewis Avenue, police have said.

Police have not released the name of the driver.
