Incident ruled accidental, police chief says

"The cause is believed to be from a cigarette from a person who through it out the window and it blew into the back of the truck," the chief said. "The truck was fully engulfed."

Bayville Volunteer Fire Company Chief Kenneth Anderson and Patrolman Jon Sperber were the first to respond to the incident, which happened at 2:17 p.m., DiMichele said.
