Man Indicted on Charge of Stealing From Blackbeard's

Forked River man charged with two counts of theft

A Forked River man has been indicted on stealing money from a popular Bayville entertainment center.

An Ocean County grand jury last week indicted Michael L. Dautorio on charges of stealing money from the Blackbeard's Cave on Route 9 in Bayville on two occasions in August.

Dautorio stole $200 to $500 from the entertainment center on Aug. 16, the indictment states, only to come back Aug. 21 and take more than $500.

Dautorio was charged with one count of fourth-degree theft for the first incident and a count of third-degree theft for the Aug. 21 incident.

The Forked River man was initially held on $5,000 bail, 10 percent option allowed, but posted on Aug. 22.

Also indicted by grand jurors:

  • Robert C. Meloni of Toms River on multiple charges of home burglaries in Berkeley last fall.

Meloni is accused of four burglaries of Berkeley homes from Oct. 14, 2010, to Nov. 17, 2010. The alleged break-ins occurred at homes on Orlando Boulevard, Charlotesville Drive, Martin Place and Gower Road.

His proceeds from the reputed burglaries included more than $1,000 in jewelry and cash. He also attempted to steal a GPS unit and two hand-held radios, the indictment states.

Meloni also is accused of having cocaine during the final charged burglary.

The Toms River man is charged with four counts of burglary, three counts of theft, one count of attempted theft and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Meloni was initially held on $75,000 bail, no 10 percent option, but posted on Dec. 11, 2010.

  • Jina M. Narcisse of Berkeley on multiple drug charges.

Narcisse was charged in connection with two incidents that occurred in Toms River on June 6 and June 9, the indictment states. Along with Dana Frank of Lakehurst, she was charged with possessing heroin on June 6. However, Narcisse also was indicted on possession with intent to distribute and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.

Narcisse also was indicted on possession and possession with intent to distribute charges after allegedly being caught with heroin on June 9.
