Man Found Passed Out In McDonalds Parking Lot Charged With Heroin Possession, Drunk Driving


Berkeley police recently arrested a 51-year-old man found passed out behind the wheel of his car with the motor running in the McDonalds parking lot on Route 9 in Bayville, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Patrolman Michael Tier responded to the area at 8:20 pm. on May 26 on a report of a suspicious male in a vehicle, the chief said.

Tier found the driver, identified as Martin Favor, passed out in the car. Further investigation revealed that Favor was operating  his vehicle while under the influence, DiMichele said.

Tier also discovered that Favor was in possession of a quantity of heroin and a hypodermic syringe. He was taken to police headquarters, where ie was processed and released on a summons pursuant to John's Law, the chief said.
