Man Charged With Drunk Driving After Plowing Into Two Holiday City Homes

Residents uninjured; building inspector deems both homes uninhabitable

 

A township man has been charged with drunken driving after he struck a utility pole, then careened into two homes in Holiday City at Berkeley last night, police said.

Dean Stephenson, 48, who lives on , first hit the pole, then the two homes on Guadeloupe Drive around 8 p.m., said Sgt. James Blair.

The township building inspector arrived on the scene shortly after and deemed the two homes - located at 44 and 46 Guadeloupe Drive - uninhabitable. The houses are boarded up, Blair said.

Stephenson was arrested after the accident, taken to police headquarters, and charged with drunken driving, Blair said.
