Cops: Drunk Ocean County Man Charged in $15K Child Support Delinquency

Man reported stumbling in the road had more than $18K in total warrants, police say

Police say they arrested a Ocean Couny man Dec. 6 on multiple warrants, including a child support nonpayment warrant worth more than $15,000.

Officers initially responded to the area of Briar Road and Walnut Drive in Lanoka Harbor for a report of an intoxicated male stumbling in the roadway at 11:11 p.m., police said in a statement.

Upon arrival, officers located 51-year-old Joseph Marrocco of Yorktown Drive standing on the shoulder of the roadway, the statement said.

An investigation at the scene, according to police, led to the arrest of Marrocco on several outstanding warrants: $750 to Lacey Township Municipal Court for a township ordinance violation; $939 to South Toms River Borough for driving while suspended; $2,040 to Brick Township for driving while suspended; $250 to Beachwood Borough for being an unlicensed driver; and $250 to Atlantic City for a local ordinance violation.

Marrocco also had a $15,009 Ocean County Sheriff’s Department warrant for non-payment of child support, police said.

Marrocco was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters where he was processed before being transported to the Ocean County Jail in default of his bail.
