New York Woman Charged With Assault After Fight At Bum Rogers

by Patricia A. Miller

Berkeley police recently arrested an Irvington, New York woman and charged her with assaulting a patron at Bum Rogers restaurant in South Seaside Park, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Patrolman Erik Krook responded to the restaurant on Central Avenue at 3 a.m. on July 4 on a report of a fight, the chief said.

When he arrived, it was determined that several patrons had gotten into a fight and left the restaurant. Further investigation revealed that Megan L. DiChiaro, 27, of Irvington NY, struck the victim causing a cut to the face, DiMichele said.

DiChiaro fled the scene and purposely avoided police contact. DiChiaro was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where she was also charged with obstruction of the administration of law, the chief said.
