Howell Man Arrested In Holiday City For Marijuana Possession, Speeding

Incident happened near Westbrook Drive and Mule Road

 

Police arrested a Howell Township man shortly after midnight on Jan. 17 and charged him with possession of marijuana and speeding, Detective Sgt. James J. Smith said.

Patrolman Al Foca stopped Michael Makofsky, 23, in the area of Westbrook Drive and Mule Road in Holiday City at 12:24 a.m., after he spotted him speeding.

When Foca questioned Makofsky, he noticed the driver "seemed impaired," Smith said.

Foca also found 13 clear, small plastic bags containing a greenish-brown substance in the car, Smith said.

Makofsky was placed under arrest, processed at police headquarters and released, he said.
