Homeless Man Faces Drunk Driving, Drug Charges

Incident happened on Keller Street in Bayville

 

Police recently arrested a man who apparently was living in his car and charged him with drunk driving and several drug offenses.

Police responded to 245 Keller Street in Bayville at 4 a.m. on March 13, after receiving a call that a suspicious car was parked in the driveway of the house, Detective Sgt. James J. Smith Jr. said.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found Paul Coleman, no age available, passed out on the driver's side of the car, with the door half open, Smith said.

Police managed to rouse Coleman, who smelled of marijuana and alcohol, Smith said.

Coleman was charged with drunk driving, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, he said.

Coleman's car was filled with personal belongings and it appeared he was living in the vehicle, Smith said.
