“It also involved a passenger vehicle which left the roadway and went into the woods,” said Kay. “A male driver was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center by medevac at between 8:15 and 8:20 a.m.”

Kay said that traffic lanes on the parkway were briefly closed to allow for the medevac landing, but that all lanes in both directions were re-opened at 9:05 a.m.

The trooper urged that anyone with information on either accident should call the Bass River Station of the New Jersey State Police at 609-296-1027.
